Typo-graphy?

A practical demonstration of “attention to detail” in response to innumerable pleas by Graphic Design lecturers stressing the importance of details regardless of context.

I designed this book to metaphorically point the finger at the numerous spelling, punctuation and grammar errors in the project briefs of a second year Graphic Design module after being repeatedly reassured by tutors that there are definitely no typos in course documents and that great care was taken when assignments were devised. The 36-page hardcover-bound book is simply an attempt of rebellion and “social commentary” in a closely defined context. It is a very personal response to a module that was aiming at teaching me about my personal design methodology. As such I found the traditional design of the book to be highly appropriate and working on a number of levels.

Social commentary book, 12 x 15 cm digital print on ZANDERS medley pure, creme, 110gsm. Hand-stitched thread-bound with hardcover.
